Transportation services offered to residents Currently only offers shelter for women, there are house rules such as no smoking, no drinking, no drugs, no cursing $500 a month but will work with those who cannot pay (there is free access to the shelter's food pantry for residents) Working on finishing a shelter for men in Beula, AL (will be able to offer rooms for 10 people), hoping to complete in June

      that participates in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher, Public Housing,
      Family Self-sufficiency, and Rental Assistance Demonstration programs.
      This program consists of 634 apartments and homes at ten different sites in
      both Opelika and Camp Hill.
       Under the Public Housing Program, the applicant must qualify
      as a family and be under the HUD prescribed income limits. The head of
      household must be 19 years of age or older or 18 years old and married. The
      applicant must pass comprehensive screening which includes background
      checks on criminal history, previous landlord references, employers, social
      service agencies, and court records.

       LRPT offers service on first-come, first-served, space available basis. It is open to general public who live in Auburn, Opelika, Lee and Russell Counties.  No medical authorization is needed.
      The PEX Service for the City of Phenix City operates within a 3/4 mile radius of the PEX Fixed Route and some other areas in P.C.
